CEO's
CORNER
We have all heard the term "New and Improved"
and I have often thought that if a
product was really good in the first place then why does it need
improvement?
The answer is really pretty clear. With advances in way of life,
technology and our human
expectations of how we perceive things, we are always looking
for ways to better ourselves. Nursing is no different. The role
of the nurse has changed dramatically in recent years and
the shift has come mostly into Home Care. Also, clients who would,
in the past, stay in the
hospital longer, are coming home with the assistance of Nursing,
Physical Therapy, and
Nursing Attendants. This allows the client to make decisions as
to care, and also allows
the nursing staff to work closely with the family for optimal
outcome. This is not a new phenomenon but the way the services
are provided is changing. At Nursing Resources,
we are always striving to improve by establishing new and better
methods of serving our
home care clients. With this in mind we have increased our visibility
to our clients through increased supervision, phone calls to the
client and case managers for updates on their
care, in services on professionalism, ethics and higher expectations.
NR is proud to remain
true to its original goal and motto “we truly care”
. This means to this day and into the future
with the view that we can always try something new and improve.

Why Home Care And Why Nursing Resources?
What drives medical home care?
It is a well established fact that home health care is becoming
a much more common way to receive health care because of the technological
advances made in recent years. The procedures and the equipment
have substantially improved over the years. So, if the care can
be done safely and efficiently, one can bet that the patient care
will be done at home with skilled nursing performing the tasks.
NURSING RESOURCES, provider of home health care services since
1990 can provide such services anywhere in the San Francisco Bay
Area with their skilled nurses.
But what is really driving home health care more than the technological
advances is financial facts. The costs involved for home care
is about 1/20th of the costs associated with hospital care. With
that kind of a ratio, skilled nursing performed at home is certainly
here to stay and grow. Another overlooked fact is that patients
recuperate a lot faster at home because they are amongst their
family members, friends, and, neighbors. Psychologically , they
are driven and motivated to be well. That cuts down on the time
to recuperate, which is good for the insurance and the HMO companies.
